| 2. Ram - I am running windows xp and check my 400t memory like this. First i conect the 400t with the usb cable to my computer, then click on the start menu, then click on my computer. Then you should then see your 400t under devices with removable stoage. right click on garmin colorado (E:) then click on properties. You should now see the used space, free space, and capacity of your Garmin Colorado. i.e. Space used > 2.65 GB Free Memory > 148 MB Total memory > 2.78 GB | ||

| 6. What are your top 3 issues you would like to see addressed? (i.e. battery life, Topo DVD included with the 400T for your PC, cache logging, etc) | ||
|---|---|---|
| Response Count |
||
| 1. Battery life, stability, boost
features similar to 60csx 2. battery life, screen brightness, geocashing be able to mark as found and go to next and show quadrants for geocash. At least do what my 60csx can. Why make a product that takes a step backwards. 3. 1. Battery life 2. Overall file management on the unit (rename, modify or delete waypoints, routes and tracks) 3. Ability to change theme to dark text with light background. 4. interface, screen brightness, battery life 5. improved Geocaching mode, improved background light, improved readability 6. Battery, backlight, street label on map screen 7. 1. Geocaching functionality, i.e. geocaching icons (not waypoints), able to mark finds on the unit, hint for cache should be accesable from the main screen not through the description page. 2. start up time and general hang time between map and cache description. 3. being able to customize what icons you want shown on the unit through POI's 8. 1. Topo DVD included 2. Turn by turn and accuracy on base map roads 3. Screen control / battery life 9. 1) Battery life sucks with rechargables, then it goes dim and you can't see the screen. 2) The topo map is off by 100 feet or so everywhere I've been with it. This is super annoying. 3) Yes, it would be nice to have the PC topo included for trip planning. 10. battery life screen brightness multiple issues with geocaching mode (cache logging, marking caches found, geocaches on map) startup/geocache performance (okay that's 4) |

| 7. Final thoughts? | ||
|---|---|---|
| Response Count |
||
| 1. I should have waited..........it
likely will be great someday... 2. The colorado has nice graphics, but for the price is not worth the money and will not replace my 60csx 3. I am nevertheless enjoying it very much. Thanks for your efforts in putting this together. 4. My world was better before I sold my 60CSx for that Colorado... 5. I like the unit and I think Garmin is on the right track, it's just gonna take time, input from users and a little patience. 6. Satisfaction survey buttons don't work. Register very dissatisfied on all, please. 7. I was imagining this to be a 60csx with a bigger (more pixels) screen, and a neat new way to input data. It's not, it's a step backwards, so I'm returning it. |

I am happy to help you with this. I understand many of
the reservations and issues that this forum is addressing, and I also
remember the forums from when the 60CSx came out. Most of the issue that
have been listed will be resolved with a firmware update, some of the
issues will not, and are just the way that the Colorado will work. I can
tell you that Geocaching and Street Labels are things that are being
worked as we speak. The 400T has topo mapping installed and is for
Topography only, street level detail is not to scale and can seem off in
some places, however this software was Never intended to have accurate
street level detail. If you have any further questions please let me know and I will do my best to supply the answers. With Best Regards, [Name deleted] Product Support Specialist Garmin International |
